To brew great coffee at home, we recommend that you use approximately one to two tablespoon of freshly ground coffee per six ounce cup of coffee. Adjust this amount as you see fit, personal preference should dictate how much coffee you use for each pot of coffee. Use fresh, cold water to brew your coffee, no matter what method you are using. Hot water from the tap tends to contain more minerals and can negatively affect the way your finished cup tastes. If you have it available, you can use bottled spring water for the purest taste possible. Make sure that your coffee brewing equipment is clean before brewing, and always serve your coffee immediately after brewing. Boiling or reheating coffee can cause it to taste overly strong or stale.
